Generally we keep a string of four to eight horses in training stabled at Laurel Park throughout the year. We usually stable the younger stock here until they have earned their gate cards, and have a start or two under their belts before moving them back to the farm where they can get a little turn out time and train in a more relaxed atmosphere. Sometimes if the backside at Pimlico is open for training during the meet we take a mini vacation and stable there for the short spring racing season. It is a nice change of scene, and closer to home and the farm.
